Beijing, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Border ports will resume operation of cargo and passenger transport in an orderly and safe manner, according to a notice released on the official wechat account of the General Administration of Customs on Monday. 


According to the joint prevention and Control mechanism of The State Council and the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations, the General Administration of Customs issued a notice on the day after the novel coronavirus was no longer included in the management of quarantinable infectious diseases. 


The details include: As of January 8, 2023, all inbound personnel will be cancelled nucleic acid testing, and all inbound personnel will be required to declare the nucleic acid test results of novel coronavirus within 48 hours before entry to the customs; The entry personnel whose health declaration is in order and who have no abnormal conditions under routine quarantine inspection at the port shall be released to the community; Those who declare abnormalhealth conditions or show symptoms such as fever will be sorted according to their screening status. All nucleic acid monitoring and testing measures against the novel coronavirus for imported cold chain food and non-cold chain items will be cancelled at ports.
